The New 8 Week Cholesterol Cure
Robert Kowalski is a trained journalist by trade. He's been writing about health and medicine for nearly 4 decades. Robert was one of the first to create awareness of oat bran in 1987.
In 1984 he had a heart attack. Afterwards, the doctor told him to go out and enjoy his life. He had a problem, and "now it had been fixed", his doctor said. After a second bypass surgery Robert realized there was more to his picture of health than he realized.
Oat bran beta-glucans became one of the three most important aspects of his heart healthy diet. Robert suggests including supplements in your diet since its hard to get all you need from the food you eat. The book outlines 5 major heart health supplements in addition to a low-fat diet and exercise: oat bran fiber (beta-glucans); B vitamins; antioxidants; and, niacin.
For 17 years Robert experimented with heart healthy regimens. He personally tested them. He researched nutritional science to see if there was something being overlooked in his dietary plan. He worked closely with researchers. He started making some interesting discovers about nutrition. He turned his life-long pursuit of health into a book.
Robert's latest release is called "The 8-Week Cholesterol Cure".
The book outlines a nutrition framework to get healthier in a short time. Robert structures his suggestions in a practical, easy to understand way. Since he's tested the suggestions, he knows how hard a balanced diet can be. He's sensitive to creating dietary plans you can actually keep up with.
The plan outlined in the "The 8-Week Cholesterol Cure" is now readily accepted as sound nutrition for heart health. He cites heart health guidelines from major scientific research institutes. But his ideas weren't always so accepted.
Robert was about 10 years ahead of his time when he said oat bran beta-glucans played a significant role in lowering cholesterol. Now, of course, the American Heart Association and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration all acknowledge oat beta-glucans can contribute to maintaining healthy cholesterol levels.
There is an entire chapter dedicated to oat bran. Robert outlines study after study, from around the globe, which illustrate the cholesterol-reducing power of oat beta-glucans. Six of the research studies Robert reviews show a 9-11% drop in cholesterol, using 2-4 ounces of oat bran daily. Many oat bran research studies show a decrease after only 4 weeks.
